DIY iCamera 1000
Well I purchased 5 iCamera 1000 about a year ago from ebay.
I just recently cancelled service with Cox Home Security..
And when I started poking at the equipment I was able to find out alot of information.
The wifi password is pushed to the camera.
The username and the password for the icamera 1000 is pushed from the icontrol touchscreen.
And the only way you are going to get into the settings of the camera is to reset it.
How to reset the icamera 1000 follow these directions.... (Yeah its ADT but who cares)
When you get inside this what I had... If you want to know more or want me to try something let me know.........

DIY Cox Home Security - Unmonitored
Hi everyone my internet name is Super Repair Tech and in real life I'm a I.T. person for my profession...
I recently had a chance to try out Cox Home Security..... At its awesome for what I needed it for... Well if your in a bad area the monitoring of the alarm is great......
Well what if your in a okay area and want to run that risk??????? Well I'm doing it and I'm not turning back.........
Cox Home Security has two ways to install the security router.... One is behind your router or the another way is infront of your own router which is in DMZ mode to allow internet to your router.
Well since I own the Netgear Nighthawk I wasn't going to allow them to tell me that it must be connected in-front of this monster of a router. I told the tech that I vpn back into my home for work and he said are you sure and I was like yes. Tech did't push it anymore.
So when I had this system installed I bought all my equipment from Ebay. Since Comcast has similar equipment got it for low cash.
To get the wifi password on the Netgear 1000 that was configured by the tech that I paid for. The little black box that they say you can't touch or get into....... Well I did..... Since I'm a I.T. person by trade. I did some research and found out that you can telnet into this little puppy thats to this article.
I followed the article to a T where it says On Windows.... But it may be different from some users.
I will say this you must unconnect all devices that is connected to the Netgear 1000, but leave one camera hooked up. And then plug your laptop in and let it pull a IP address.
If it doesn't then your home security router must of been connected at the DMZ......
Well since I was able to telnet into the router I had to do a little more research into the commands.......
If thats listed there I did some more research for some more commands ...
What most people are looking for and I know I was. Its the login username and password to the router. Well the command should be something like this http_passwd
You may have to try and try again. If you think you mess up just close out of the command prompt and try again to get the password.
Then once you login into the router look at attached devices you'll see the camera ip address. Type that address into your browser and you then will be redirected to view video or administration option page for the camera.
From there you can mess with the motion view of the camera. Turn off the camera lights and so on.
But since its no longer monitored by Cox Home Security what am I going to use to view my cameras on my phone and tablet when I'm out or at work??
iCam answered that question. iCam is another story.
